Thank you for your interest in attending our second annual Equity in Action conference! This event is a day-long gathering of ACLU members, community activists and leaders offering an exciting program that will inspire, inform and equip you with skills to advocate for a more equitable region.

We are guided in this work by the belief that equity is – as defined by the national research institute PolicyLink – the “just and fair inclusion into a society in which all can participate, prosper and reach their full potential.”

Last year’s conference drew more than a hundred participants who were inspired by our speakers, workshops, and each other to build community, skills and power together. This year, we will reaffirm our commitment to advance racial equity, police accountability and protect immigrant rights.

Building power to advance change is more important than ever and it can’t be done without dedicated community leaders like you.

The conference location is wheelchair accessible and all-gender restrooms will be available. Food and drink will be provided to all attendees; including those with special dietary needs.  Please see the application for information on conference interpretation and translation services.

If you have questions, please contact Cassie Purdy at cpurdy@aclusandiego.org or (619) 559-7313.
