Experiencing Panic Attacks? See if You Qualify for a Research Study
Title of Research Study: Enhancing Panic Disorder Treatment: Integrating HRV Biofeedback with Ultra-brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Purpose of the Study:
Researchers at Alliant International University are conducting a study to examine whether an ultra-brief form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, alone or combined with Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback, can help people reduce panic attacks.
You may be eligible if:
- Have been diagnosed with Panic Disorder or experience panic attacks (about twice per month or more)
- Participants will complete:
- one online interview (about 60 minutes)
- Five weekly online sessions (each 60–90 minutes)
- Brief daily practice at home
- One follow-up appointment
What Participation Includes:
- Free treatment program designed to help reduce panic attacks
- Learn practical coping skills used in cognitive-behavioral therapy
- A free heart rate monitor (yours to keep – $70 value)
- A $25 Visa gift card after completing the study
This research study is conducted by researchers at the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University and approved by Alliant International University Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Lived Experiences Following Personal Achievement
You are invited to participate in a research study!
Purpose of the Study:
This study explores the thoughts, emotions, and other experiences of individuals following a significant achievement. Examples of such achievements may include educational milestones, career success, personal goals, or public recognition.
You may be eligible if:
- You are between the ages of 22-55
- You completed a personally meaningful goal or achievement within the past 1-3 years
- Following that experience, you encountered a period of emotional disruption, such as feelings of disappointment, emptiness, aimlessness, or a sense of lost purpose.
Note: Participation does notrequire that your achievement be recognized by others - only that it was meaningful to you.
What Participation Involves:
- A brief (30-minute) initial screening interview on Zoom.
- If eligible, a follow-up 60-90 minute Zoom interview at a later date.
- All interviews will be audio-recorded using secure Zoom technology.
- As a show of gratitude for your participation, you will receive a ten-dollar gift card upon completion of interviews.
Confidentiality and Voluntary Participation:
- Your identity will remain confidential and pseudonyms will be used in all reporting.
- You may withdraw from the study at any time without penalty.
- Participation is entirely voluntary
